Plot : Miral is a drama flick directed by Julian Schnabel and written by Rula Jebreal. The story revolves around a chronicle of Hind Husseini, who tries to set up an orphanage in Jerusalem after the 1948 partition of Palestine, where a new state, Israel was created. During the journey, Hind Husseini (Hiam Abbass) comes across 55 orphaned children in the street. She decides to help them and takes them home to give food and shelter. Later, the orphanage grows larger and was joined by almost 2,000 children, and the Dar Al-Tifel Institute was born.
