Plot : This movie recreates the magic that was unleashed by the 1970’s thriller of the same name, as it brings together a superb cast and a brilliant plot, to present a horror film that does just what it’s supposed to do - send a cold chill down your spine. The movie centers on an adorable little girl Sally Hurst, who is withdrawn and keeps to herself. When she moves along with her father Alex, and his new girl friend, Kim, into a sprawling old mansion, she, for the first time, feels the excitement of exploring her new home. She sets on a spree to unlock every secret that’s hidden in the nooks and corners of the house. But it turns out to be far from a fairytale when she unleashes a posse of eerie creatures in a locked basement that she discovers. This basement has remained undisturbed, ever since the mysterious disappearance of the mansion’s owner. To make matters worse, her parents rubbish off her fears as yet another of her oddities. Her life turns into a nightmare as the ghastly creatures threaten to pull her deep into their murky world - a world from which there will be no escape. She does all that’s in her might to warn her parents of the danger they all are in, but to no avail.
