Synopsis : Crushed Velvet shows a scenario when censorship is removed from the television world and what is does to the world. Now, viewers can enjoy any movie and show, without anything being censored. This increases the craze among people for television and they start to watch it day and night. People become addicted to their television sets. While all this has been happening, the husband of Dusty Velvet (Laurie Love) has been taken up to serve the national armed forces and there are rare chances of him coming back. In the war scenario that has been taking place in Iraq and Iran, chances are high that her husband will not make it back alive. The only thing that can save him is $500,000. This is an amount with which Dusty’s husband can be bought back from the military; however, the amount is too big for Dusty. So, she finds a reality show to be the best way to get her husband back, because the winning amount for the show is $1million. What all the contestants have to do is to survive in confinement for 60 days, with just a table, bed and a toilet. A camera is fitted in the room, recording every moment of the day. As Dusty gets chosen to be a part of this show, she gradually becomes popular among the viewers, because of all that she does on the show. However, after spending a long time in isolation, things start to turn weird and the dark side of the participants, including Dusty, start to emerge.
